Why I want to go to Hollywood November 27, 2006

I’ve to Hollywood, but unfortunately I was about 6 years old. It must be really thrilling to visit the place where all the famous people have been or live, and where plenty of movies are filmed! In plus, I see pictures here at home from our trip, and they are so amazing! The landscape is wonderful.
My biggest hope is to be able to go there with friends (when I get a little older….in college), stay a couple of days just hanging out, feeling americanish, lol…
But for now, I’m fine here in Brazil.

This is the place I most want to visit. They say that the northern lights (aurora borealis) is incredibly outstanding, and I’m sooo curious to see it! I must feel so spooky to see the sky in all sorts of colours! Trust me, if your bored, search google for “northern lights” or “aurora borealis”…seriously, there are some really awesome pictures.

When I went to Brugge November 27, 2006

I went to Brugges on July 2005. My mom said so much about this place, I was really curious to go. They told me it was a small village, but I had no idea it was THAT small! But even though it was small, our guide didn’t stop telling stories and stories! There are some reeaally old constructions that go back to the XIth century! It’s all so cute, and so well conserved… I’d really like going back there.

I want to…go on vacations! November 27, 2006

Summer break is almost here for us, south hemisphereans, lol!
I don’t even know if I’m going to travel, I’m just glad I can have a little time for myself!
I love summer: sun, beach, relax… christmas, a new year comming up…! It’s all so exiting. The only thing is we can’t really hope to have a white christmas in Brazil… No fireplace on, no sleighs… but oh well! We have other good stuff…like, we can eat ice cream! mmmm…
Yeyy, I’m really looking foward to our school break!
I guess at some point we have to be happy we go to school, or else vacations wouldn’t be so much fun!

Foo Fighters November 27, 2006

Foo Fighters is my favorite band, so I decided to write a post about this group. There are four members in this band: Dave Grohl who plays the guitar and sings (he used to play the drums in Nirvana), Nate Mendel who plays the bass, Taylor Hawkins who plays the drums and Chris Shiflett who also plays the guitar. The band actually started only with Dave Grohl. On the first Foo Fighters CD, he played all the instruments himself.
One of my favorite songs is called Resolve, not just because melody, but too because of its lyrics (http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Resolve-lyrics-Foo-Fighters/0FE4DF7CA6E9C99148257018000A4CA6).
I always associate songs to periods of my life, and this one represented a pretty long time of mine. Its about him not being able to move on, he’s stuck on someone, and he wants “a little bit of resolve”. I really like it.

Here’s the videoclip:

The perfect place – Bora Bora November 26, 2006

The first time I saw a picture of this place I couldn’t beleive it was actually real.
Wow, since then, I saved millions of photos of this place in my computer and I keep imagining what it would feel like to be in contact with such beautiful sight. Bright bright ocean and sand… it looks like paradise!
I heard that, in some decades, the french polynesia islands won’t exist anymore because of the global warming, and consequently, the level of the water will get higher. So sad to think humans are capabable of destroying the few spots world could seem like heaven. Where is this world leading to?

Ideal house November 26, 2006

I want to draw the perfect house. Wishful thinking? Maybe…
The first word you’ll think of when you enter it would be “space”. I love space, clean space. A huge white and minimalist house made of glass, steel and concrete. Nothing else. There’s nothing really impossible about that. But this is just the start… it’s a very general idea of my ideal house. It will be placed in a very high spot, and it’ll have a wonderful view to the ocean and to the mountains. But it will also be really really close to the city, and will have a view to its’ buildings. Even though the house is huge, its size will be imperceptible from the outside. The 25 meter pool is on top of the house, with the oportunity of putting or taking off the ceiling, in case of sun/rain.
2 levels each room (with secret connections to all parts of the house) with wheels…so that if your tired of where your room is placed, you’ll just have to press a button that will automatically push your room to the place you asked for.

If I’m a dreamy person? Yeah…a little, I guess
I can’t tell more…just research my name on google some years from now, who knows maybe you won’t see crazy houses!

Sleep… November 26, 2006

I always wish I could sleep more! Before bedtime I’m so exhausted because of such a looong day, and when I finally get some time to rest, it seems time flies aways. Don’t you ever wake up having the impression you fell asleep like 10 minutes ago, when in fact you slept for 7 hours?
It’s funny how we disconnect completly from time. It’s even more interesting when we dream… why do we dream? I dream pretty much, and 50% of the time I dream is about things that actually happen the day after…spooky!
The other 50% corresponds to dreams about things I really want… like travelling, or… drawing…
Anyway, to me, sleeping is escaping from reality, it’s so releiving! That’s probably why vacations are so good…we can sleep all day long =)

Now that we all know the world has a spheric shape, there’s not really anymore mystery. But there’s something about it that gets me wondering. Maybe because it’s so big. There’s a whole underwater universe that, happily, humans (almost) haven’t invaded yet. Many things go on over there, and this whole amout of water is like a mask to me. A mask that hides secrets, lives (and deaths), stories and legends… The ocean occupies the biggest part of earth, and nobody is able to explore it all. So I explore what I can with my imagination: it’s like a huge space where minds are free.
